Delivery and Shipping
Ground Shipping
Because of air transport regulations on lithium-ion batteries, we provide only ground shipping options for electric motor batteries.
Shipping Restrictions
All orders require a residential or business address. We are NOT able to ship products to post office boxes.
Shipping Carriers
Oceans EV only uses reliable carrier services as to ensure all deliveries are made on time and received by our customers in good condition. We ship merchandise to locations within Canada via Canada Post as standard shipping for smaller orders and FedEx for international orders or larger orders such as electric motors or batteries. We may use UPS or DHL for International or Express shipping in some regions.
International Customs and Duties
For US customers, customs, duties and other expenses related to handling of the product are not included in the price of shipping. Customers are responsible for any tariffs, duties or handling fees.
Shipping / Delivery Time
Most in-stock orders will ship within 1-2 business days after complete order receipt & full payment. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday, except by prior arrangement. We target all completed orders to be shipped after no more than 72 hours. Orders with backordered stock status products may take longer than normal processing time. We try our best to keep our customers informed in these circumstances.
We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by this site or any other site only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability. You will be provided with a tracking number once your order is transferred to the shipping carrier.
Loss, Damage and Theft Risk
The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this website pass to you when the merchandise is handed over or picked up by the shipping carrier. Oceans EV will not be responsible or held liable at any point for any disputes or claims arising after shipping carrier has pickup items from any of our location or if items were dropped off at carrier depot location, unless the customer chooses to include Navidium Shipping Protection at checkout. We will do our best to actively assist in the process to resolve matters between the carrier and receiver, but sometimes a suitable resolution is not available and sometimes the process can be slow and frustrating.
While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure that products are well packed, damage can occur between our warehouse and your destination. If your products are damaged during transit, you may refuse delivery and have the driver note refusal reason as “damaged”. If you are unable to refuse the damaged shipment or if shipping damage is concealed, notify us and the courier company immediately.
Shipping-related damages must be reported to the courier company and to us within 7 days of receipt of shipment. Take pictures of the damage and ask the courier company for confirmation or claim number. Open a support ticket with Oceans EV describing the damage, including photos and confirmation number from the courier company. Do not throw away original packaging.
Unsuccessful Delivery
If merchandise is returned to our warehouse due to unsuccessful delivery attempts, the buyer is responsible for any return shipment costs, and re-delivery costs, plus an administrative fee of $50. We will hold all returned items for one week before re-stocking them.
If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer will be responsible and pay for all delivery cost to re-deliver the order to a corrected address. Oceans EV will not be responsible for the loss of your order if the address provided at checkout is incomplete or incorrect.
If you refuse the shipment, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee (unless the reason is because of obvious damage during transit).
