At OceansEV, we stay on top new developments in the electric outboard market. Although we started with the oldest and what we feel is still very best brand (ePropulsion), we never intended to only carry one brand forever. Many other brands have entered the marketplace over the years and we evaluate them all, but have never felt anything could approach the quality and price-performance ratio of ePropulsion…until now.
OceansEV is proud to announce that we’ve officially added the Remigo brand to our catalog. Remigo (pronounced Rem-EE-go) is an award-winning brand from Slovenia, where their products are made. Their first (and currently only) electric outboard is the RemigoOne, originally introduced in 2021.
The RemigoOne is unique in several ways: it’s the only 1,000W (3hp, same as the Spirit 1.0 Plus and Spirit 1.0 Evo) motor that incorporates the battery into the motor in a single sealed unit (a design that “inspired” ePropulsion when creating the eLite). It’s also the lightest and most portable 3hp electric motor available, at only 12 kg (26 lbs), and a 2-inch wide body that lets you carry it one-handed close to your body.
Its “electric rudder” design makes it super easy to maneuver your boat. Other clever features include simple operation with only two buttons (on the top of the motor or on an optional, wireless control unit) and an adjustable shaft clamp which can be loosened and moved to different positions to make the exact shaft length you need.
But the feature we like best is the extreme durability due to the all-metal design and watertight marine-grade aluminium unibody. It boasts an IP67 rating, ensuring protection against water ingress (even at a depth of 1 metre for 30 minutes).
