The diminutive 6.7kg (14.7lb) 500W, 1.5hp-equivalent eLite was the star of the show at the BC Boat Show this past weekend. We sold virtually all of our inventory of this all-in-one, portable electric outboard motor (which was supposed to last until the end of June!) For small dinghies, the compactness, convenience and price is unmatched among any other electric or gas motor.
ePropulsion has announced a new version of the eLite, which extends the length of the unit by 15cm (about 6″). This new long-shaft version weighs slightly more (7.3kg or 16.1 lbs) but is otherwise identical to the original eLite, which is now referred to as the eLite short-shaft. The length of both models is also further adjustable by about 12cm (4.5″).
Perfectly blending efficiency and mobility, both versions of the ePropulsion eLite offer an easy-to-use alternative to small internal combustion engines for small boats, RIBs and SIBs, dinghies and tenders. They’re an ideal solution to service sailing and yachting vessels as an ultra-portable solution to get to shore and back.
